Four decades of industrial courage, disciplined capital stewardship, and responsible real estate development.
The core principles that steer every real estate development, treasury allocation, and stakeholder engagement.
“To be a respected and enduring Indian enterprise that creates lasting value in real estate and in the responsible stewardship of capital.”
To be a trusted and future-ready enterprise that creates enduring value through responsible real estate development, disciplined capital allocation and sound corporate governance, while fostering sustainable growth and enhancing long-term stakeholder wealth.
We aspire to achieve business excellence through:
Cornerstone virtues guiding our board oversight, operational discipline, and community relationships.
We hold ourselves to what is right, not to what is permitted.
Every rupee deployed is deployed as though it were our last.
What we build, we build to endure.
Our shareholders learn of our position fully, accurately and on time.
We accept that an enterprise owes something to the society that sustains it.
Oswal Greentech Limited is a public listed company, incorporated and domiciled in India, with its registered office at Ludhiana, Punjab, and its corporate office at Antriksh Bhawan, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi. The Company’s equity shares are listed on the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited.
The Company’s principal business is the trading and development of real estate projects. Alongside this, the Company deploys its surplus funds by way of interest-bearing inter-corporate deposits, keeping capital productively engaged while opportunities in the real estate sector are evaluated with care and selected with discipline.
We have chosen a considered path. The Company continually works to remain among the best in its industry by optimising cost and strengthening operating efficiency — in the belief that efficiency, sustained over time, is what converts effort into margin, and margin into shareholder value.
That is the standard we hold ourselves to, and the one by which we ask to be judged.
We are committed to maintaining the highest benchmarks of quality, environmental sustainability, and institutional compliance across all our property developments and financial transactions.
The Company's journey began with a vision to identify emerging opportunities and create sustainable businesses. Founded under the leadership of Shri Abhey Kumar Oswal, the Company moved beyond traditional business activities and explored opportunities across diverse industrial sectors, laying the foundation for future growth.
The Group’s story begins in Ludhiana, in a distinguished business family led by Lala Vidya Sagar Oswal. His son, Shri Abhey Kumar Oswal, was a keen learner and an innovator with an appetite for calculated risk. It was that appetite, and his conviction that technologies must be integrated rather than merely adopted, that led him beyond the family’s traditional textile business and into grassroots agro-industry.
The Company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 17 November 1981 and became a Public Limited Company on 29 January 1982. In September 1995, it changed its name to Oswal Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited. Subsequently, on 23 November 2011, the Company was renamed Oswal Greentech Limited to reflect the change in its principal business activities.
The Group extended into soaps, detergents, fatty acids, glycerine and stearic acid, marketing premium bath soaps under the OASIS, KALPA and 24 CARRATS brands, alongside edible-grade cooking oils and margarine produced at Mandideep, Bhopal.
Together with his brothers, the founder established the Mata Mohandai Oswal Cancer Hospital at Ludhiana in memory of their mother. Through his efforts it grew into a multi-speciality institution serving the poor and the needy.
A paddy processing complex was established at Dhuri, Punjab.
The Group acquired a sugar complex at Phagwara, creating a uniquely integrated agro-based industry.
The Group diversified into petrochemicals, acquiring plants from multinationals including Union Carbide in Mumbai and ICI in Kolkata. In the same year the founder built a housing complex at Ludhiana for the elderly and for widows in need — free accommodation with facilities for education, healthcare, safe drinking water, sanitation and recreation.
The Company expanded into the chemicals and fertilizer industry, reflecting its ambition to participate in India's agricultural growth story. During this period, the Company changed its name to Oswal Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited, representing its strategic focus on fertilizer and chemical operations. The Company subsequently developed large-scale fertilizer manufacturing capabilities, including operations at Paradip, Odisha.
A devastating cyclone struck coastal Odisha, including Paradip, where the Company’s DAP plant stood. Thousands of lives were lost and many thousands more left without homes. The founder, together with Smt. Aruna Oswal, personally led teams of volunteers from Paradip, providing food, clothing and shelter for the rehabilitation of the affected population. The Company did not withdraw from Odisha; it rebuilt there.
Grassroots, indigenous Di-Ammonium Phosphate fertiliser plant was built at Paradip.
The Paradip plant was sold to IFFCO for ₹2,180 crore, concluding the Company’s fertiliser chapter and freeing capital for its next.
The founder turned to research-led ventures and to real estate, conceiving Centra Greens, a residential project of approximately fifteen lakh square feet at Ludhiana, Punjab. The foundations of the Company’s present business were laid in this period.
Shri Abhey Kumar Oswal passed away in March 2016. The enterprise he built continued under the stewardship of his family, guided by the standards he had set.
Oswal Greentech Limited is listed on the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited, with its registered office at Ludhiana and its corporate office at Antriksh Bhawan, New Delhi. Its principal business is the trading and development of real estate projects; its surplus funds are deployed as interest-bearing inter-corporate deposits, keeping capital productively engaged while opportunities are evaluated with care.
The Company continues to evaluate development and trading opportunities on their long-term merit rather than their immediate appeal, and to commit capital only where the economics are sound.
Surplus funds remain productively deployed rather than idle, preserving the Company’s capacity to act decisively when the right opportunity presents itself.
The Company’s disclosure, compliance and board practices are maintained not as obligations discharged, but as the foundation on which any future expansion must rest.
